Season 2 of Bridgerton has been out for more than a month and it was truly one of the best seasons released in 2022 so far. The new season of Bridgerton really outdid the last season. The new season was based on the oldest brother Anthony Bridgerton and his love life. We are introduced to Kate and Edwina Sharma who are the two contests for his love. In this article, I will talk about all the good things about Bridgerton season 2.
1. Accurate enemies to lover:
The show really demonstrated the good enemies lover trope because the two characters Anthony and Kate really had so much hate for each other but their chemistry was just amazing. The build-up to their love story was truly one of a kind. Although there was an enemy lover trope last season it was not as good as this season.
2. South Asian representation:
It was really amazing to see a South Asian woman as the lead in a romance show. In the show, they showed many traditions that take place in the Indian culture before weddings and also just small parts like Kate massaging Edwina’s hair with oil. I feel like this was really good because it introduced the world to the sweet parts of a culture and not in a forced way.
3. Slow burn:
The show was about 8 episodes and we only truly saw Kate and Anthony kiss for the first time during the wedding scene. The show gives the audience small bits of tension and intense times gave more to the character’s ships. Want the audience to truly see them get their happy ending.
4. Unanswered questions:
Bridgerton season 2 left us with many questions and wanting season 3 already. Will Eloise expose the true identity of Lady Whistledown? Or will Theo get to it before she does? At the end of the season, Jack Fetherington is sent away to America. But the forged signature is still there will there be consequences?
